Queen's 90th Birthday

RSP celebrated Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday throughout the week, ending with a whole school street party.

During the week pupils learnt about the queen's life, her coronation and her reign over the past 63 years. Special services were held in school and at Rawdon St Peter's Church. Pupils enjoyed a full day of activities on Friday 10th June, working in their community groups in the morning and having a street party on the playground in the afternoon. Thankfully the weather was kind and the whole school participated in dressing up as royalty ,parading around the playground in their costumes. singing  and they were also entertained by a demonstration of waltzing from some of the Year 5/6 pupils and OPAL guests.

A cheque for over £900 from our previous Pyjama Fun Run Fundraising event was presented on behalf of the school to OPAL at the end of the event.

Thanks to all who raised money and attended this very special street party!
