OPAL - Older People's Action in the Locality
Pupils from RSP were invited to the opening of the newly refurbished OPAL centre in Cookridge. They spent the afternoon chatting to the members and using the facilities. We continue to grow and develop this partnership and have recently donated funds to this very worthy charity.
OPAL aims to reduce loneliness and isolation of older people living in Leeds 16, as well as improving the quality of their lives by enabling them to live independently, safely and healthily. They give direct support to 700 older people and their services include:practical support;emotional support;learning; Inter-generational projects and social activities
